James Marion "Marlan" Coughtry (born September 11, 1934 in Hollywood, California) is a former backup infielder in Major League Baseball. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed, stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) and weighed 170 pounds (77 kg).
Coughtry played for four major leagues teams in part of two seasons. He reached the majors in 1960 with the Boston Red Sox, spending one year with them before appearing with the Los Angeles Angels, Kansas City Athletics and Cleveland Indians in 1962.
In 35 games, Coughtry posted a .185 batting average (10-for-54) with six runs and four RBI without extra bases.
